Jokasafe was founded in 1960. Our manufacturing facility is located in Evijärvi, Finland.

We are the only industrial manufacturer of coated protective gloves in Europe.

Supply security

For any critical material, it is essential to choose a partner capable of delivering under all circumstances — including during serious disruptions and exceptional conditions. Protective gloves are a critical material. Without safety gloves, work stops.

Jokasafe is the only European manufacturer. All other production takes place in Asia.

Product certification

All Jokasafe protective gloves have been tested, classified and certified in accordance with EU Personal Protective Equipment Regulation (EU) 2016/425. Ongoing compliance of our products is monitored by SGS Fimko Oy (0598).

Environmental responsibility

Sustainability is a key part of our strategy. We continuously seek new ways to reduce the environmental impact of our products.

We have calculated the carbon footprint of every Jokasafe glove. The assessment, conducted in accordance with ISO 14067 and the GHG Protocol, confirmed two key findings:

Material selection has the greatest impact on a product’s CO₂ emissions
Jokasafe gloves have exceptionally low carbon emissions

All Jokasafe products are made using BIOVYN™, a PVC compound derived from renewable and recycled sources. The CO₂ emissions of BIOVYN™ are less than one-tenth of those associated with conventional fossil-based raw materials. This makes modern PVC a highly sustainable choice when responsibly sourced and used.

Another important factor is product durability. Our flexible double-coated construction provides outstanding mechanical performance in both smooth and rough-finish gloves. The longest known service life of a Jokasafe protective glove exceeds 30 years, significantly reducing the need for replacement and lowering environmental impact.
